Missouri Retail Sportsbooks

Missouri legalized retail sports betting alongside online wagering. Every one of the state's 13 riverboat casinos can host a retail sportsbook, and several professional sports venues will also operate physical betting locations within 400 yards of the stadium. Here's the current map.

What to expect at a retail sportsbook

A retail sportsbook is a dedicated betting area inside a licensed Missouri casino. You'll typically find:

  • Betting windows or kiosks — staffed cashiers or self-service screens
  • Wall-mounted odds boards and TVs — live odds and game broadcasts
  • Lounge seating — many sportsbooks integrate with sports bars and restaurants
  • Cash betting — pay cash at the window; you receive a paper ticket to redeem
  • Player loyalty integration — your bet earns points in the casino's loyalty program

You must be 21 or older with a valid government ID. Wagers are anonymous in the sense that no online account is required — you keep the paper ticket and bring it back to claim winnings.

Stadium-based retail sportsbooks

Missouri also allows licensed sports betting at professional sports venues — within 400 yards of the stadium. Confirmed and pending stadium sportsbooks include:

  • GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium (Kansas City Chiefs) — game-day retail betting on Chiefs Sundays
  • Busch Stadium (St. Louis Cardinals) — retail sportsbook in development
  • Kauffman Stadium (Kansas City Royals) — retail sportsbook planned
  • Enterprise Center (St. Louis Blues) — retail sportsbook planned
  • CITYPARK (St. Louis City SC) — match-day betting under review

Retail vs. online — which to use

Retail betting offers a social, in-person experience and avoids the geolocation hassle of the apps. Online betting offers deeper market depth, faster bet placement, more promotional offers, and the ability to bet from anywhere in the state.

Many Missouri bettors do both — placing larger or social bets in person at a casino sportsbook, and using their phone for everyday wagering, props, and live betting.
